This document is adapted from free open-source mobile-app privacy policy templates (community generators such as App Privacy Policy Generator / MIT legal boilerplates) and customized for VibeMap. It is provided for transparency and App Store linking, and is not legal advice.
VibeMap (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) helps nearby creators discover each other and coordinate local coding meetups. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
The operator of VibeMap is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: lixunemail@gmail.com.

We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising trackers in the App.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate you and maintain your session on this device
- Show nearby creators according to your map-visibility settings
- Create, join, leave, and cancel meetups
- Reveal precise meetup locations only to eligible participants near start time
- Send meetup-related activity updates inside the App
- Secure the service and comply with law
4. Location details
Location access is requested only while using the App (when-in-use). You can choose city-only, approximate nearby visibility, or hide yourself from the map. Exact meetup spots are not shown to non-attendees, and precise location access for navigation is limited to participants when the App / server reveals it close to the meetup start time. Location is used for matching and meetup logistics — not to publish a public trail of your movements.
5. Authentication providers
Sign-in is provided through Apple and/or X (Twitter). Those providers process authentication data under their own privacy policies. We receive the identifiers and profile fields needed to create or restore your VibeMap account.
6. Storage & processors
- Session credentials are stored in this device’s Keychain
- App backend and databases are hosted on Cloudflare
- These legal pages are hosted on Cloudflare Pages
7. Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate VibeMap: with other users according to your visibility and meetup participation; with infrastructure providers acting on our behalf; or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Retention
We keep account and meetup records while your account remains active and as needed for security or legal obligations. Exact meetup locations may be deleted after the meetup ends, consistent with the App’s product behavior. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
9. Your choices & rights
- Change map visibility or revoke location permission in iOS Settings
- Edit or remove projects and profile details in the App
- Sign out to clear the local session
- Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
10. Children
VibeMap is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.

- 仅在符合条件的参与者中、临近开始时间时揭示精确集合点
- 保障服务安全并履行法律义务
4. 位置说明
我们仅申请“使用期间”定位权限。你可选择仅城市、附近大致位置，或暂时从地图隐藏。精确集合点不会对未参与者公开；导航用途的位置仅在产品规则允许时向参与者开放。位置用于附近匹配与聚会协调，不会公开你的行动轨迹。
5. 共享与存储
会话保存在本机 Keychain；后端托管于 Cloudflare；本法律页面托管于 Cloudflare Pages。我们仅在运营服务、与其他用户按可见性/参与关系展示，或法律要求时共享信息。
6. 你的选择
可在系统设置中关闭定位，在应用中调整可见范围、编辑资料，或退出登录。如需访问、更正或删除账号数据，请发邮件联系我们。
